Yesterday, some members of the UMJA team joined Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy for their 2025 Plant-a-Thon! A multi-month, environmental restoration initiative with the goal of planting over 5,000 native trees, shrubs and perennials across the Perkiomen Creek Watershed!

This is a quick inspection that takes roughly 5 minutes to complete and includes a quality check of the sewer Clean-Out and output of the Rain Gutter. When water from these illegal connections enters the system, it undergoes unnecessary treatment, taking up valuable space and resources. This increases operational costs, which ultimately raises sewer bills.

Why Now? The 12% rate increase, effective June 1, 2025, supports critical improvements to our Biosolids Building.
