About Us

The Upper Montgomery Joint Authority (UMJA) owns and operates a 2.0 million gallon-per-day wastewater treatment facility and sewer collection system serving the communities of East Greenville, Pennsburg, Red Hill, and portions of Upper Hanover Township. Every day, our team works behind the scenes to collect, treat, and safely return clean water to the environment while maintaining nearly 40 miles of sewer infrastructure that serves thousands of residents and businesses.

Our mission extends beyond wastewater treatment. We are committed to protecting public health, preserving local waterways, supporting sustainable growth, and educating our community about environmental stewardship. Through ongoing infrastructure improvements, environmental initiatives, and community outreach programs, UMJA strives to provide reliable service today while planning responsibly for the needs of future generations.
