At Upper Montgomery Joint Authority (UMJA), we are committed to providing reliable, high-quality wastewater services to our community every day. To maintain and improve these essential services, a 12% rate adjustment will go into effect on June 1, 2025.
This change will help fund critical upgrades to our Biosolids Building, including:
- Installing a second centrifuge to increase efficiency and greater processing reliability
- Upgrading digesters to meet Class B standards
- Replacing our outdated dryer with modern, energy-efficient technology
- Upgrading air and mixing systems in the digesters to enhance treatment processes
- Retrofitting or replacing key parts of our dryer facility to increase flexibility and protect against evolving regulations and market conditions
These improvements ensure that we continue to meet growing environmental standards, maintain an efficient and environmentally responsible wastewater treatment plant for our community, and protect public health.
We understand rate changes impact our customers, and we are committed to using your investment wisely. We’re here to answer your questions and appreciate your continued partnership in supporting the long-term sustainability of our shared water infrastructure.
Your continued support helps us keep your system strong—today and into the future.
